Byron
Hills was built as a 9 hole course in 1966 by Bob
Wells. Warren Sutton purchased the course in 1972
and he expanded it to 18 holes. It was later taken
over by Larry & Bruce Sutton in 1988.
The course has over 32 years of Sutton pride and has
over 6,000 yards of pristine golf yards & over
40 years of matured grounds.

Byron Hills Golf Course
Known for its well-groomed greens and fairways, Byron Hills
has the reputation of being one the finest playing and scenic
courses in the Quad Cities. Owned and operated by brothers,
Bruce and Larry Sutton, Byron Hills features just enough hazards
and beautiful lush fairways to make an enjoyable round of
golf.

We have six really clean lakes (several photos
above) and some really well placed sand traps, says
Bruce Sutton, who handles the clubhouse duties, while brother
Larry is greens superintendent. We have a good reputation
for keeping well manicured greens. We try to add something
new every year to change things up.

The
grass is in really good shape and is ready to pop
as soon the sun sticks around for any duration. |
Byron Hills also caters to company outings and other groups.
We have a pavilion for golf outings. And we dont
charge for its use. We get a lot of company outings here.
We have a challenging course, yet its open enough
for the average golfer to have a good time, and golfers tend
to use every club in their bag.
For a fun, par 71 course and one you wont beat yourself
up on, check out Byron Hills in Port Byron, Illinois. For
more information and tee times check our Events
page or call (800) 523-9306.
